The Old Penang Hotel (Trang Road), previously known as Trang City Lodge, managed by Trang City Enterprise, was first opened in February 2001. It was a row of pre-war house of late Straits Eclectic Style that was build between 1910s-1940s. It is a beautiful reminder of our Old Penang Heritage. The Old Penang Hotel (Trang Road) is recently completed upgrading and renovating. It shares the vision of the government in the Re-making of Penang, the Georgetown in particular after it was declared by UNESCO as World Heritage site on 7 July 2007. It aims to establish itself a chain hotel in near future. It touts itself as an ideal base for tourisits visiting Penang. It offers its guests comfortable yet economical clean facilities and polite services. Due to its strategic location (at the heart of Georgetown), it is an ideal base for shopping, dining and sight seeing. It is a unique building, colourful heritage, easily accessible and a charming and cozy hotel only a few minutes away from all attractions and surroundings : Penang Times Square, Komtar, First Avenue Mall, Prangin Mall, Gama, local famous Hawker Food such as Cendol, Hokkien Mee, Char Koay Teow, Ice Kacang, Laksa, Chee Cheong Fun and many more.
