Urbanscapes KL is set to rock Malaysia this December, and welcomes a whole host of international headline acts alongside some of the best local talent in the way of live music and performing arts. Leading 2014’s festival line-up will be New Zealand-born art-pop songwriter Kimbra, Sydney-based psychedelic dance band Jagwar Ma, LA-based indie rockers Local Natives as well as the legendary 90’s outfit The Lemonheads. There’s also three additional satellite shows, including Glaswegian synth-pop trio Chvrches on November 19th, post-rock band Mogwai on November 30th, and comedy rock duo Tenacious D on December 1st.

The one-day Urbanscapes festival will be held at Horse Ranch in Resorts World Genting on December, 2016 and tickets are on general sale now. On the local line-up are OJ Law, Ali Aiman, Najwa, Paperplane Pursuit with several more to be announced within the coming weeks.

In addition to celebrating everything and anything art-related, Urbanscapes is well-frequented for its vast array of local street foods. Vendors from Kuala Lumpur’s most popular cafes and favourite Malaysian restaurants are all set to have a booth during the event to serve hungry festival goers. Do take note that this is an outdoor event, so bring an umbrella or a poncho in case of downpours.

Tickets to Urbanscapes KL can be purchased online through TicketPro or through Rock Corner outlets nationwide. Tickets are divided into three phases with limited sales for each phase, and once the quantity runs out, ticket sales will move on to the next phase. Tickets are priced at RM157, RM187, and RM207, respectively, while tickets sold at the door cost RM227. Tickets for the Urbanscape 2014 Satellite Shows with Chvrches are at RM147 (presale) and RM167 (regular) while tickets for Tenacious D are available at RM207 (regular).
